One commemorative medal issued to celebrate the inauguration of John Engler as Governor of Michigan in 1991. The circular bronze medal shows a raised image of the Seal of the State of Michigan Seal on the obverse. A raised image of the state capitol dome is shown on the reverse along with text that reads "1991 Michigan Gubernatorial Inauguration, John Engler." The medal is contained in a black velvet pouch that is held inside a rectangular cardboard box that has a glossy black exterior and gold-colored text on the lid that reads "1991, Gubernatorial Inauguration."
