One Detroit Bicentennial commemorative medal with a "Parade of Nations Committee" ribbon. The medal has a decorative bronze top banner with raised text that reads "Detroit, 1701 - 1901." Beneath the banner is a circular medal. The obverse shows an image of a house at the center with adjacent raised text that reads "Issued by the Official Committee at the Bi-Centennial of Detroit, Mich., July 24, 1901," and "First House in Detroit Built and Occupied by Cadillac 1701. British Military Headquarters 1763-1796. Destroyed 1883." The reverse shows shield emblems of the United States, Great Britain, and France along with dates of jurisdiction. Raised text along the perimeter reads "To Commemorate the Founding of Ft. Pontchartrain, Now Detroit, By DeLamothe Cadillac," and "1701 - July 24 - 1901." The top banner of the medal has a pin on the back that is attached to the top of a purple satin ribbon with gold-colored stamped text that reads "Parade of Nations Committee."
