Microphone

One microphone made by Shure Brothers, Inc. The microphone has a square-shaped metal body with rounded corners, slightly rounded sides, and a short threaded collar for attachment to a base. The front has a metal grillwork design with light tan fabric under the grillwork. The back is solid, but has a removable plate that is held in place with two screws. The metal body and back plate are painted dark red. On the front, a gold-colored logo shows the letter, "S," and an adjacent label reads "Shure." Stamped text on the back plate reads Model No. 710A, Manufactured by Shure Brothers, Inc., Evanston, Ill. Made in United States of America. See Patent Notice Inside." A brown fabric-covered wire is connected to the microphone through a small hole near one of the lower corners. The cord is approximately 86 inches long and has a single prong, 1/4-inch plug at the end.
