Viking - 35
One model of a Viking 35 cabin cruiser. The model depicts a typical 35-foot long inboard twin-engine recreational cabin cruiser. It has a large open foredeck, bow anchor, flybridge, tinted cabin windows, an open aft lounge deck with a fisherman's chair, and a swim platform on the transom. The model is made primarily of wood with fittings made of metal, plastic, and paper. The deck and topsides are painted in a light tan with purple trim stripes on the cabin and a purple water line stripe. The underside of the hull is painted dark blue. The manufacturer's name, "Viking," is shown on each side of the boat at the bow and at the aft end of the main cabin. The model is mounted on a rectangular wood base that is made of oak with mahogany trim strips along the edges. The wood base has been finished with a light brown stain and a semi-gloss lacquer. A small brass plate is mounted at one corner of the base and shows "Model By H. Nissley, Riverview, Mich." A second small brass plate is mounted at the opposite corner of the base and shows "Viking - 35, 1985, Scale 3/8 In. - 1 Ft." The model includes a fitted clear acrylic protective cover.
