Ornament, Surface

One salvaged section of architectural plaster ornamentation from the Eastown Theatre in Detroit. The ornamentation is made of molded plaster and has a decorative oak leaf and scroll pattern with rolled edges along the top and bottom. A small cherub face is shown above a fountain-like pedestal at the center. The exterior surface of the plaster ornamentation is painted with gold-colored paint. Some frayed edges of reinforcement fabric can be seen along the broken edges of plaster. The back surface is irregular and unfinished.
