Watercolor painting by Rober Hopkin depicting a street scene of his birthplace, Glasgow, Scotland. Two figures are in the foreground. The painting is signed "R. Hopkin" in the lower right corner. "Dobbies Loan Townhead Glasgow May 29, '83," is handwritten on the verso in pencil. Hopkin gave the painting to William F. Jewell, who owned the carriage house at 59 Medburry Street where Hopkin maintained a studio.
