Painting
Watercolor painting on board of the passenger steamer EASTLAND under steam on the Chicago River, as depicted from off its starboard bow. The era depicted is between the EASTLAND's 1903 launch, and its conversion for the Navy in 1915. Two schooners are moored side-by-side to the shore on the left. The bow of a docked freighter is visible in the background on the right. The painting is signed, "D.B.C." near the lower right corner. William Moss's address is handwritten on the verso.
