CAYUGA

One watercolor painting of the steamship, CAYUGA. The painting shows a starboard side view of the ship which is underway in fair weather. The ship has a black hull, a white top deck, and four tan-colored masts. In addition, it has a black smokestack with a red band around middle section and a diamond in the middle of the band with the letters, "LV," at the center of the diamond. The sky is grey and overcast and may indicate a coming change in the weather. The artist has signed his name, "Edward J. Dowling, 1950," at the lower left corner. The painting is held in a black wood frame with a white matte border and protective glass.
