Painting
Harry T. Ewing
One watercolor painting of "The Steamer HARRY T. EWING in the St. Mary's River." The EWING is shown in the foreground with a rust-colored hull and white letters on the side. The pilot house and top part of the trim on the bow are white. The stern deck is white with a rust border. The stack is rust-colored with a yellow band and red star. A large quantity of smoke is rising from the stack and from the stacks of the other two ships in the background. The river in the foreground is blue with a few whitecaps. The background shows a thickly wooded shoreline. The sky is light blue and fades out at the horizon. The artist has signed his name, "Edward J. Dowling - 1938," in the lower left corner. The painting is held in black wood frame with a white matte and protective glass.
