1 - Pair of Army shoulder patches worn by United Spanish War Veteran (USWV) musician (bugler), Joseph B. Hoffman. The base material for the patches is dark navy blue wool. The rank insignia shows three chevrons and two lower bars for a Sergeant First Class. These stripes are made of a light blue wool and that has been sewn on top of the dark wool base material. An embroidered musician's lyre is located near the center of the patch.
