One brass lapel pin of the "Great Lakes Maritime Institute." The circular-shaped pin has a gold-colored background with decorative blue border as well as a red and blue flag at the center that has the letters, "DGLMI," (Dossin Great Lakes Maritime Institute). The name of the institute is shown in gold-colored text around the flag emblem. In addition, the words, "Life Member," are shown in the blue border at the bottom of the pin. The back is stamped "Made in Taiwan" and has a pin with a pinch spring fastener.
