Pitcher

One small pitcher from the dining room of the MV James E. Lose of the United States Steel Corporation. The pitcher is made of white glazed china. It is has an open top with a wide spout, a scalloped rim, a tall decorative handle with a narrow blue stripe on the outside, and an oval-shaped body which has gently curved sides that form a rounded bottom with a short oval-shaped base. A narrow blue stripe encircles the pitcher about one inch beneath the end of the spout. The ship name, "M.V. James E. Lose," is stamped in blue text on the front side of the pitcher and the "USS" company logo is stamped in blue on the opposite side. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Mayer China, Beaver Falls, PA.," and "452."
