Pitcher, Cream
One souvenir cream pitcher from Fort William (now Thunder Bay), Ontario. The small pitcher is made of white glazed china. It has an octagonal-shaped body with an open top, a wide curved spout, and a tall curved handle on the side that has an angled thumb rest. The sides flare outward around the middle and then narrow to form a flat octagonal base. A narrow gold-colored stripe is painted along the top edge of the spout and along the outside edge of the handle. A black and white engraved image is printed on the side beneath the spout and shows a commercial waterfront scene that is entitled "Kaministiquia River, Fort William, Ont." A decorative gold-colored scroll design is painted around the upper half of the image. No manufacturer's name or marks are shown.
