Plane

One miniature woodworking plane. The plane has a rectangular wooden body made of dark pear wood (allegedly made from one of the original French pear trees brought to Detroit by original French settlers). It has ivory inserts on the front and bottom, a metal blade, and a blade adjustment handle at the top. Handwritten ink text on the bottom reads "C. Engel 1880."
