Plaque

One store plaque. The plaque is a white plaster casting that has been covered with an antique dark brown and gold-colored finish. It is shaped to resemble a large strongbox or treasure chest that has an open lid and several strings of pearls that are spilling over the sides. The underside of the open lid shows "Meyer Jewelry Company" and the top of the open chest shows "Treasure Chest Store." The back side of the plaque has a T-shaped wooden bracket (0.75" deep) and a string eye to allow the plaque to be hung on the wall. The wooden bracket also acts as a spacer which holds the plaque off the wall surface and may create more of a three-dimensional effect.
