Plate, Bread

One small bread plate from the dining room of the Book-Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. The round plate is made of white glazed china. It has a flat, slightly-upturned rim and a rounded outer edge. The entire rim is painted dark blue with narrow gold-colored stripes painted along the outer and inner edges. In addition, the inner edge is printed with a decorative gold-colored filigree design. Also, a single gold-colored crown/shield emblem of the hotel is stamped on the rim. The underside of the plate is stamped with a small green oval-shaped crown/lion manufacturer's logo along with small green printed text that reads "Royal Bavarian China," and "Hutschenreuther, Selb, Bavaria." The number, "2315," is stamped to the left of the manufacturer's logo. Additional small blue printed text reads "Made in 1925 for The Book Cadillac," and "Furnished by Albert Pick & Co., Chicago, Pat. April 7th 1925."
