Plate, Butter
One small butter plate from the dining room of the passenger steamship, SS Manitou, of the Manitou Steamship Company. The round plate is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has short curved sides with a rounded top edge. The decorative red logo of the "Manitou Steamship Company, Chicago," is stamped on top at the side. The underside is stamped with faint red text that reads "Burley & Co., Chicago," and "Hotel Department."
