One Detroit Historical Museum commemorative plate. The dinner-size plate is made of white china with blue drawings on top that show three scenes from the Streets of Old Detroit exhibit as well as exterior views of the Detroit Historical Museum, Dossin Museum, and Fort Wayne Military Museum. A green printed stamp on the underside reads "The Detroit Historical Museum. Founded by the Detroit Historical Society in 1928. It became an official City department in 1946. With its branches, the Dossin Great Lakes Museum and the Fort Wayne Military Museum, it is open to the public year round. This plate was produced by the Detroit Historical Society Guild to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Detroit Historical Commission." Additional printed text reads "Kettlesprings Kilns, Alliance, Ohio." and "1465-S."
