Great Lakes Traffic upon the Chicago River

One commemorative plate of downtown Chicago and the freighter traffic on the Chicago River. The round, lunch-size plate is made of white glazed china. It has a curved rim with a rounded edge and a flat bottom. A large multi-color image of a freighter passing beneath raised downtown bridges on the Chicago River is shown at the center. A narrow gold-colored stripe encircles the plate along the outer edge of the rim. Black printed text on the plate underside reads "Limited Edition Chicago Collection," and "Great Lakes Traffic upon the Chicago River, Franklin McMahon, 1978." Additional printed text reads "Made in U.S.A."
