One dessert plate from the offices of the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company of Milwaukee (owner of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald). The round plate is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It has a flat, slightly-upturned rim and a thickened outer edge. Narrow blue and gold-colored stripes encircle the plate along the outer edge of the rim and a narrow blue stripe encircles the inner edge. Blue script text on one area of the rim between the stripes reads "NWL." The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Syracuse China, 91-K, U.S.A."
