Plate, Dinner

One dinner plate from a passenger ferry or shoreside terminal of the Detroit & Windsor Ferry Company. The round plate is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge and a narrow blue stripe along the outer edge. A small, yellow/blue, shield-shaped company emblem is stamped on the rim below the blue stripe. The underside is stamped with green text that reads "Vitrified, Wood & Sons, England" and "Supplied by Cassidy's Limited," and the number, "1029."
