Plate, Engraving

One engraving plate used for printing Vernor's advertisements, brochures, and/or product packaging. The rectangular plate is made from thin sheets of copper and zinc that have been bonded together and mounted on a wood block. The outward-facing copper side has a flat relief engraving that shows a bottle of "Vernor's Ginger Ale" with text that reads "Ginger Ale" and "Deliciously Different, Flavor Mellowed in Wood 4 Years." Some of the zinc has been exposed in deep-cut areas where all of the copper has been cut away. The word, "Detroiter," has been stamped in black text on one side of the wood block.
