Plate, Engraving

One engraving plate used for printing Vernor's advertisements, brochures, and/or product packaging. The irregularly-cut plate is made from thin sheets of copper and zinc that have been bonded together. Five small nails have been used to attach the plate to a wood block. The copper side has a flat relief engraving that depicts an image of the Vernor's gnome, who is standing while bent slightly at the waist, and is gesturing with his outstretched right arm. The numbers, "45-158," are stamped in two locations near the edges of the image.
