Plate, Engraving

One engraving plate used for printing Vernor's advertisements, brochures, and/or product packaging. The rectangular plate is made from thin sheets of copper and zinc that have been bonded together. The copper side has a flat relief engraving that shows a bottle of "Vernor's Ginger Ale." Some of the zinc has been exposed in deep-cut areas where all of the copper has been cut away. In two of the deep-cut areas, small numbers have been stamped that read "45, 31," and "32." Small numbers stamped near the edge of the plate read "45/31/32," and "7 21 47."
