Platter

One platter from the dining room of the Manoir Richelieu Hotel of the Richelieu & Ontario Navigation Company. The oval-shaped platter is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat upturned rim with a thickened outer edge. Narrow red dashes, separated by small gold-colored fleur-de-lis symbols, encircle the platter along the center of the rim. Narrow, gold-colored stripes are located above and below the red dashes. A coat of arms with a shield, crown, and anchor design (Manoir Richelieu pattern) is stamped on the rim at the center of one of the long sides of the platter. The underside is stamped with a green logo and text that reads "W. G. & Co., Limoges, France." Additional red text reads "Made for Manoir Richelieu by Cassidy's Ltd."
