Coal piles for the Detroit Edison Company Conner Creek Power Plant can be seen in the lower foreground. The clubhouse buildings, harbor, earthen causeways, seawalls, and several sailboats can be seen in the center area of the photo. The Detroit River, a seaplane in flight, and the Belle Isle shoreline are visible in the background. The photo is held in a wood frame with an off-white matte border, and protective glass. White text along the lower edge of the photo reads "Last Race of Season at New Boat House," and "C-855, 10-28-16." The wood frame has been finished with brown stain and black paint.
