One framed photograph of the Edison Boat Club in Detroit. The sepia-toned photo looks northward along a sidewalk and lawn area at the edge of the harbor. Many spectators are standing on or walking along the sidewalk. Several small sailboats are sailing in the harbor while others are moored at docks in the background. The Detroit Edison Company Conner Creek Power Plant can be seen in the far background at the left side of the photo. Coal piles can be seen on the shoreline in the center and right background. The photo is held in an oak wood frame with blue/gray matte borders, and protective glass. An engraved brass nameplate beneath the photo reads "E. B. C., 1940's." The oak wood frame has been finished with a dark brown stain. A gold-colored adhesive label on the back has black text that reads "Grant's Fine Picture Frames, 810-791-4982."
