One quilled birchbark purse from the Great Lakes region. The purse is made of eye-shaped birchbark panels on the bottom and sides. The bottom is plain and the sides have decorative red/green/pink floral designs with sewn lines of straw along the borders. The top edges of the purse are finished with a dark brown/green braided cord. The same braided cord has been used for handles and small tassles.
