Pyrometer

One pyrometer from a commercial bake oven. The pyrometer has a 35.5-inch long, 0.75-inch diameter copper or brass sensor rod which transmits heat to a gauge that is mounted at one end of the rod. The 7-inch diameter gauge has a cast iron case and a protective glass cover with a rounded brass bezel. The gauge face (beneath the glass) is painted black and has a single arrow at the center. Engraved graduation marks and numbers along the perimeter of the face show temperatures from 0 to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. Engraved text on the gauge face shows "The Kosicky Patent Bake Oven Co., Detroit, Mich." and "Faultless Pyrometer."
