Quilt

1-Quilt. A handmade patchwork cotton quilt for a child's bed. The predominant color is brown - light brown, medium, dark, printed and patterned fabrics. The border rectangles are the largest, but varied in size. The central square has a smaller, measured pattern that features hand written text; "Abigail B. Estabrook, Born April 24th, 1799". The quilt is edged with the same variety of brown fabric. A tag sewn to one corner of the back side that reads, "Mrs. Geo. H. Hopper, 17305 Parkside, Det".
