Ring, Life

One life ring from the Boblo Island passenger ferry, SS STE. CLAIRE. The ring is made of red/orange unicellular plastic foam and has a white polypropylene line that has been looped through the ring at four evenly-spaced locations along the perimeter in order to form four large grab loops. Black painted stencil text on one side of the ring reads "STE. CLAIRE, BOBLO." A black painted label on the opposite side has text that reads "APCO, Type IV - Personal Flotation Device," and also gives instructions for use. Additional text reads "USCG Approval No. 160.050/45/0, Lot No. ---, Model 830, Size 30 Inch," and "Atlantic-Pacific Mfg. Corp., Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201."
