Scarf
One silk scarf commemorating the 25th anniversary of WJR Radio in 1947. The nearly square scarf is made of white silk with a narrow rolled and sewn edge. It has a multicolor decorative print design with an eagle and shield emblem at the center and text that reads "Radio, In Service of Home and Nation" along with station call letters "KMPC, Los Angeles," "25th, WJR, Detroit," and "WGAR, Cleveland." The text of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is printed beneath the emblem. A young "Uncle Sam" figure is printed numerous times inside a red band along the scarf border. A sewn label on a lower back corner shows "Dominique France, 58 Rue Pierre Charron, Paris," and "Soie Naturelle [Natural Silk]."
