Sculpture
Bo Jangles
One bronze sculpture of the circus clown, "Bo Jangles." The brown metal sculpture has a green patina and a slightly rough finish. It shows the figure of a tired circus clown who is seated on a small stool and is looking at a small dog that is seated near his right knee. The clown is wearing a tiny hat, a big round nose, a ragged and patched jacket, and worn pants. The sculpture includes a rough, rectangular bronze base that has been mounted on a thick, pine wood base. The wood base has a plain routered edge and rounded corners. It has been stained light brown and finished with clear lacquer or varnish. The artist has signed his name, "Chesney," on the back of the stool on which the clown is seated. An engraved brass plate on the front of the wood base reads "Bo Jangles, by Edward Chesney."
