Seat, Folding
One pair of folding seats from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The seat assembly consists of a steel framework with armrest supports on the sides and mounting flanges at the bottom. Nuts and bolts have been used to attach the seat backs and bottoms to the framework. The steel framework is painted black. Armrests are made of rectangular pieces of wood that have been painted black and have a hard black plastic surface on top. Both the seat backs and bottoms are finished with padded red vinyl upholstery. The back sides of the seat backs have hard black plastic coverings and the undersides of the seat bottoms are made of steel that has been painted a tan color. The seat bottoms have internal spring mechanisms at the sides and automatically fold to an upright position when not in use. Seat tag number, "11," is shown at the front side of one of the seat bottoms and number, "12," is shown on the other. No manufacturer's name or marks are visible.
