One informational sign from Hudson's downtown Detroit department store. The rectangular sign is made of 0.25-inch thick plywood that has a walnut veneer on the front surface. Sign letters have been cut from a light-colored, fine-grained wood and have been glued on the walnut veneer to read "Please Carry Small Packages." The front surface has been finished with a low-gloss lacquer or varnish. Screw holes are located near the left and right edges so that the sign can be mounted on a wall.
