Souvenir

One souvenir vase from the passenger steamships, SS Eastland and SS City of South Haven. The miniature vase is made of white glazed china that has been painted cobalt blue on the exterior. It has a flat, oval-shaped body with a decorative rectangular top rim, small handles on opposite sides with scrollwork designs, and a decorative flat base. An oval-shaped, multi-color image is printed on one side of the vase that depicts a stern view of the two steamships leaving the harbor in fair weather. Narrow gold-colored stripes are painted on the handles, the base, and around the printed image. Black text beneath the image reads "Steamers Eastland & City of South Haven." No manufacturer's name or marks are shown.
