Souvenir

One small souvenir shoe from the passenger steamship, SS City of Cleveland, of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company. It resembles a Dutch wooden shoe and is made of white glazed china that has been painted cobalt blue on the exterior. A circular, multi-color image of the passenger steamship, SS City of Cleveland, is printed on the vamp. Small black text beneath the image reads "Steamer City of Cleveland, D&C Line." A narrow gold-colored stripe encircles the image. A red ink stamp on the bottom of the heel reads "Germany." No manufacturer's name or marks are shown.
