Souvenir

One souvenir demitasse cup from the passenger steamship, CITY of CLEVELAND, of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company (D&C Line). The cup is made of white glazed china. It is cylindrical in shape with vertical sides, a rounded top edge, a plain rounded handle on the side, and a slightly rounded bottom. Narrow gold-colored stripes are painted along the top edge and the outside surface of the handle. A multi-color image is printed on the side of the cup opposite the handle which depicts the steamship underway in fair weather. Black text beneath the image reads "Steamer City of Cleveland, D&C Line." The underside of the cup is stamped in black text that reads "RW [Rudolf Wachter], Bavaria."
