Souvenir

One small souvenir plate from the passenger steamship, SS Put-In-Bay. The dish is made of thin white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim that has a filigree cutout design and a serrated edge. A dark red satin ribbon is interwoven through the cutouts on the rim. The serrated edge is painted gold and a narrow gold stripe encircles the plate along the inner edge of the rim. A multi-color drawing at the center of the plate shows a port side view of the steamship underway in fair weather. Black text beneath the image reads "Steamer Put-In-Bay, Detroit, Put-In-Bay & Sandusky, Ohio." Black printed text on the plate underside reads "Made in Germany."
