Souvenir

One souvenir cup from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The miniature demitasse cup is made of white glazed china that has been painted cobalt blue on the exterior. It has a cylindrical body with a flared top rim, a small handle on one side with a decorative scrollwork design, and a flat bottom. An oval-shaped, multi-color waterfront scene that depicts a ship at the "Northern Grain Co." elevator is printed on one side of the cup. Narrow gold-colored stripes are painted on the rim edge, handle, and around the printed scene. Black text beneath the image reads "River View at Manitowoc, Wis." A black ink stamp on the bottom of the cup reads "Wheelock, Dresden, Germany."
