Stein

One beer stein made of coarse-grained wood (possibly oak or ash) that has been finished with brown stain. The tall, straight sides are slightly tapered and flare outward at the bottom to form a base that is wider than the top. The stein has a thin, rounded top rim and a brown/white faux antler handle at the side which is attached with brass fittings. The handle has a decorative brass thumb rest. A diamond-shaped brass tag on the front of the stein has incised black German fraktur text that reads "Ein neuer Freund, Ein neuer Wein. [A new Friend, a new Wine]." No manufacturer's name or marks are visible.
