One academic cap tassel from a graduation ceremony at Thomas M. Cooley High School in Detroit. The tassel has a 5-inch long black braided cord loop at the top with a small bundle of 8-inch long pale red and black woven nylon cords hanging loosely at the bottom. The cords are held together with a 0.5-inch wide corrugated brass band at the top of the bundle. A small stamped brass decoration is attached to the band and shows the year, "67,"
