One "Detroit People Mover" token. The silver-colored metal token is slightly larger than a U.S. nickel coin. The obverse has raised text along the border that reads "City of Detroit" and larger raised text at the center that reads "DPM." The reverse has raised text along the border that reads "Detroit Transportation Corporation" and has a raised image at the center that depicts a transverse cross-sectional view of a People Mover car on an elevated track. The original cost per token was 50 cents and was good for one ride.
