Transmitter

Fire alarm transmitter. A copper-colored metal Gamewell fire alarm transmitter on a marble base. The front controls consist of two large central numbered dials, a "speed" switch numbered from 0 to 4 above, and a pair of switches at its base. An array of gears are enclosed between two ornamented roughly pentagonal end pieces. A pair of electromagnets and two rows of vertical metal columns extend from the transmitter's rear. The rear of the base is also covered with several rows of terminals. Brass plate reads: "Game Well, U.S. Patent Off., The Game Well Co., Newton Mass".
