Commodore Kotcher Cup

One silverplate trophy entitled, "Commodore Kotcher Cup." The trophy cup has a large, urn-shaped body with rounded bottom, a wide rim at the top, and three decorative handles on the sides. The cup is mounted on a simple, circular base. Additional engraved text on the sides of the trophy shows "Won By Althea, Detroit Motor Boat Club Regatta, August 17, 1907" and "For Cruiser Power Boats, Class B." The powerboat, Althea, was owned by C. Hayward Murphy. A manufacturer's label is engraved on the underside of the base which shows "Quadruple Plate, Wilcox Silverplate Co., Meriden, Conn." and the number, "352."
