Trunk

One steamer trunk. The large rectangular trunk is made of vulcanized fibre board which is painted dark blue. The edges have reinforced strips that have been riveted in place. The corners are all reinforced with brass-plated steel fittings. The trunk has a hinged top with metal latches on the front and a locking latch at the center. Leather strap handles are located on each end of the trunk. Red painted text on the front panel shows "WWA [Wendell W. Anderson], Detroit, Mich." White painted text on the front and end panels shows the number "6." The trunk is fully lined with light blue fabric and has a removable top tray. No manufacturer's marks are visible.
