One man's hunting uniform (jacket and vest) from the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club. The jacket is made of heavyweight bright red wool knit fabric. It has a pointed collar with lapels, plain sleeves with two brass buttons at the cuffs, a left breast pocket with a flap, left and right side pockets with flaps, four brass buttons down the center front, and a center vent at the lower back with two brass buttons at the waist. The back collar is made of a more muted red wool fabric with white piping along the edge. The jacket has an off-white wool fabric lining that has a red and black square pattern. An interior pocket on the right breast has a label at the top that reads "Morris Portnoy, Custom Tailor, Detroit."
The vest is made of yellow wool flannel fabric on the front with a yellow acetate/rayon fabric for the front lining and for the back. The vest has left and right breast pockets, left and right side pockets with flaps, and six brass buttons down the center front. All of the jacket and vest buttons have the letters, "GPH [Grosse Pointe Hunt]," engraved on the front.
