Vase

One large vase/urn from the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. The heavy, round, jug-style ceramic vase has a narrow base, a wide middle section, and a narrow top opening with a rounded rim. The base and top opening are of approximately the same diameter. Two wide decorative handles are located on opposite sides near the top. The entire vase exterior is finished with an off-white ceramic glaze and the interior is unfinished. A painted design on the center front depicts a multi-color crest emblem with a crown. The crest is surrounded with a painted design of lemon tree branches with three lemons shown on the left and right sides of the crest. No designs are painted on the back of the vase and no manufacturer's name or marks are visible.
