Videotape
One 2-inch videotape cartridge used for broadcasting television commercials at WJBK-TV Channel 2 studios in Southfield, Michigan. The box-shaped cartridge is made of two pieces (halves) of thick black molded plastic that are hinged on one of the long sides and are secured with three black plastic screws on the opposite side. It holds two 2-inch wide videotape reels and the manufacturer's name, "AMPEX," is stamped on each of the wide sides. The videotape is enclosed in the cartridge on all sides except the one opposite the hinge where the videotape runs along a 1-inch wide guide near the center outside edge of the cartridge. A removable white plastic label on one end of the cartridge has handwritten blue text that reads "2576, 30", 8/31," and "Kraft/GF [General Foods]/Entenmann's, KREN-0062."
