Album, Photograph

One photograph album entitled, "Snap Shots," in gold-colored script text. The album has a black cardboard cover with a black fabric binding on the left edge. It holds 26 pages of black construction paper which contain sepia-toned photographs and blueprint drawings that show the Detroit River railroad tunnel construction work as well as technical details. (Four pages are blank.) The photos and drawings have been glued to both sides of each page. Typewritten captions with dates are shown for nearly all of the photos. The last three pages contain 89 small sepia-toned, head and shoulders photographs of young to middle-aged men who are all well-dressed in business suits. Names are shown beneath each image. (One of the photos is of R. W. Perry [Ralph W. Perry] who was an engineer at the Perry Testing Laboratory.) A foldout drawing on linen is glued to the inside back cover that shows a cross-sectional perspective view of the tunnel. The album was prepared by the testing engineering company, "Perry Testing Laboratory, 201 Third Street, Detroit, Michigan," which is shown on a label on the inside front cover.
